Having originally founded Casual WoW, I realized over time that I did not have any real game plan or goals in place. The blog was originally formed as a side project designed to share guild experiences and random thoughts, and I never imagined growing it to the point of having even half as many subscribers as it had. While I have no intention of stopping the type of posts that attracted readership to Casual WoW in the first place, I decided I wanted a broader scope of topics than World of Warcraft alone and Casual WoW simply was not the ideal place to post those additional topics. Further, I wanted a place where I could also bring other contributors into the fold. At that point Diabolical Minds was born.

About Me:

My first foray into MMO gaming was with Star Wars Galaxies. The community surrounding the game provided me with a first hand look at how strong bonds could be formed among players who never met each other in person, and that sense of community drove me to pursue the position of Correspondent for the Teras Kasi profession. Although I did not quite serve the entre six month term (due to my decision to leave the game after events leading up to the release of the NGE edition of the game), I found I missed being a part of the community in some fashion although I did not feel the same draw to the official forums in WoW. That desire led to the birth of Casual WoW, even though it really was only formed as a way to share guild specific experiences at first.

Fast forward to today. Casual WoW grew to have quite a following, and although Diabolical Minds is still nowhere near as popular as Casual WoW was (based on subscribers and hits), I am quite happy with how the rebranding and move have progressed thus far. In time I hope to grow Diabolical Minds to the point of matching, and eventually surpassing, Casual WoW’s appeal.
