Not much of a comment here but, I agree with Windsoar. I tend to skip stories, though I love that people write them and post them, if that makes sense. Everything else I'll read, I just find it difficult to keep up with stories, I suck at keeping up with my reader so, it's easier to catch up on posts.

I decided to try to make the stories more accessible by having a separate "Table of Contents" page with all of the links in order. I can completely understand that, though.

The forum is really just an additional place for people to go to discuss whatever comes to mind to be honest, which is why I haven't pushed them. I just find most places don't offer the "lounge style" discussion forum I'm after, tending to instead stick to a specific genre or topic. It isn't the kind of thing that will attract many at first, but as I start to actually use them more I'm sure things will start to take on a life of their own.

There was a small, local forum that had a similar idea that worked extremely well once upon a time, but the Administrator there chose to shut things down. Since then there just hasn't been anything similar, and I didn't want to limit it only to locals.

Of course, I'm not sure if that even clarifies it... :)

Well, I tend to read everything but the stories although I am absolutely horrible about commenting. I only edit out stories when responding to these kind of things because I hate reading a chapter/post at a time--I find it makes me grumpy and I lose the thread of the multiple storylines floating around--so I just skip them all.

Having no idea what your forum is designed to generate in terms of connectivity, I've been hesitant to become involved as I tend to become a forum lurker/troll.
