It happens to all of us at some point, and naturally I am no exception. I have a number of started posts in various degrees of completion that, unfortunately, will never see the light of day. Why? Quite simply because the material is already out there. I’ve never been one to put together guides for raiding encounters (mostly because I really don’t want to), and all of the other guides I have in stages of completion are already available with a quick google search.

I really want to write, but I don’t want to write the same thing someone else has already written more than once. If I have a novel new idea regarding something already written that’s fine, but right now that simply is not the case.

This is where you all come in. I could easily just write fictional stories and be content doing so, but I haven’t had much feedback regarding the ones that have been written to know if they are even remotely interesting to those who visit the site or if there is something else people would rather see. This leads me into my request from you all: what do you want to read about?

Let me clarify this further. No topic is off-limits. Part of the reason I made the transition from Casual WoW to Diabolical Minds was not only to open up further topics of interest as potential posts, but to also try to bring in other contributors who had something they wanted to say but either did not want to take on the responsibility of their own weblog or wanted to help contribute a different type of topic somewhere other than their current weblog (and many, many thanks to those who have helped thus far).

I realize that is a broad request, so I’ll help by adding some things about my interests and activities in case those spark some interest: I enjoy writing (duh) fiction and nonfiction (though nonfiction comes with the caveat that I have to have some knowledge of the subject, I play a handful of PC games as well as the occasional X360 game, movies and television can be entertaining to write about, I’m an amateur photographer (I’ll probably never consider myself a professional), and I have returned to school after much too long a hiatus to finally complete a BA in Psychology with plans to go through a graduate program immediately after completion. I am also an avid Apple enthusiast and have worked in IT (specifically networking and security) for quite some time, just in case a related topic there could be of interest. However, those are not the limits of topics I would be interested in writing about, merely some of the most prominent activities in my life at this time and the areas which I would probably have the easiest time addressing topics.

This is, quite simply, my request to hear from you. I do not have any WoW-related topics to write about at the moment that are not already done elsewhere (and well done), yet I want to write. Leave a comment here letting me know what you want me to write about, or send an email, or chat with me on twitter… that nice “Contact” box in the upper right hand section of the website doesn’t seem to get much use (hint, hint)!

Come on, at least one of the five or six people who visit must have an idea (I kid, I’m pretty sure there are eleven or twelve by now )!
