Northrend Impressions
“Wow!”
“Ooooh… look at that!”
“Oh holy mother of… that is awesome!”
“God that is gorgeous.”
“Man, I love the way this looks.”
Ok, I’m sure you get the point. The artwork in Northrend is very well done and gorgeous to look at. I can’t describe any of the zones and do them justice, so here are a few snippets of some of my favorite views thus far:
1. Drak’Tharon Keep
This instance is on the border of Zul’Drak and The Grizzly Hills, and is simply delightful to look at. From a gameplay perspective this is a pretty easy instance, although a couple of us were slightly higher level than typical for the dungeon.
2. Crystalsong Forest
This is the zone Dalaran is in, and it is one of my favorite two thus far (Dragonblight being the other, but I was having so much fun and so focused on questing I forgot to get any screenshots. I’ll go back and do so soon!).
3. Icecrown
One thing that is very bad about being able to fly again is that, to put it simply, I’m very bad about exploring places I probably shouldn’t go. Seriously, a typical conversation could go like this:
- Me: “Oooooh, look at this!”
Guildmate: “Hey that looks awesome.”
Me: “Hey, what’s this over he…. UH-OH!….”
Most of the time I manage to get away, but this time level 80 elites killed me. Oh well, the screenshots were most definitely worth it!

Dude, it was awesome when you ran in that cathedral exploring and 10 lvl 80 elites raped u. :p good thing I got pally bubble and pursuit of justice.
