Introduction
Welcome to Casual WoW. You may wonder why I would choose now to begin blogging about a game that is obviously well beyond needing any introduction, or you may not even care. Regardless, I wanted to provide a repository for many things with regards to my online “career.” I wanted a place to store things that I can look back on with fondness, as well as a place to store things I might want to reference later. I wanted a place to put various things relating to my guild. I even wanted, surprisingly enough, to potentially provide some information for those who just might be looking for something I can provide.
I have many names, but for ease you may simply call me “J.” On the Hellscream (US) server I can be found as Jeseth, Byaghro, or on occasion Aingeal. Far less often I can be found on other serves, but those are my escape from people who know me and don’t know me alike, so why would I share them here?
I started playing World of Warcraft at launch, and have had an “on-again, off-again” relationship since. I started as a combat rogue (Jeseth), switching to subtlety by level 20, to assassination at level 60, and back to subtlety at 70. I do not profess to be even remotely close to being the best, but I can hold my own.
Around the time Jeseth hit 40 I knew I wanted another character, and thus my druid (Byaghro) was born. I tried feral for a few levels (I think it was up to level 23 or 24), and then decided it just wasn’t the playstyle I was after. I had enough melee combat with my rogue, and I was looking for something different. I discovered healing shortly thereafter, and although I’ll play with some hybrid and/or balance specs on occasion, it is where my heart lies. After a very long hiatus, I’m finally making the final push to 70 with Byaghro, and look forward to really getting to experience the power Elune has graced me with.
After one particular hiatus in my WoW career, and what brought me back this most recent time, a group of local friends started playing together. My hunter (Aingeal) had been a side project for some time, a character that was kept in the shadows and used when I just needed a break from people. He was somewhere around level 26, still an infant, when I transferred my characters to Hellscream. It did not take long to remember what I had missed so much about the game, and to provide a wealth of knowledge to people who had only been playing for a few months. I joined the guild devnull, and we remain a small, close-knit group of local friends who arise to any challenge together.
Side note: We did Botannica with a Shaman, a Hunter, a Priest, and two Rogues. That was fun!
Once again let me welcome you to my blog. I hope you enjoy what you find here, and I look forward to seeing you in Azeroth!
